hipSwan socks generally come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Where we offer only a single "one size fits most" it is the equivalent of medium.
hipSwan socks are suitable for men and women.
Sizes are based on the sock's foot length in centimetres, and are provided as a range due to socks having inherent elasticity.
For your convenience, the following chart maps our socks' length ranges onto approximate shoe sizes using US shoe size scales:
What if the socks I order don’t fit me?
No problem, you have 60 days to return them. Just pay the return postage and we’ll refund you, no questions asked. The socks must be in new, unworn condition with the original wrappers included. Full details of our return policy are here.

Shipping
We ship to US customers from our Winston-Salem, North Carolina distribution center.
Standard shipping
Our standard shipping service is USPS Ground Advantage™.
The expected delivery time, excluding the time needed for picking and packing your order, is 2 - 5 business days.
Delivery time depends on the destination within the US. Along the East Coast it is 2 business days, Midwest 3-4 business days and West Coast 5 business days.
We offer free standard shipping if your order value is $50 and above.
If your order value is below $50, we charge a shipping fee of $10.
Express shipping
We also offer an express shipping option with USPS Priority Mail which will take 2 - 3 business days to reach any continental US destination, excluding the order processing time.
The express option costs $35 (or $25 if your order value is above $50).
Returns
hipSwan places a high priority on delivering outstanding customer service, and this extends to those rare instances when customers need to return their socks (historically, less than 3% of customers have returned their socks, the vast majority due to sizing issues).
We are committed to your satisfaction and offer a liberal returns policy:
- We offer a 60-day return window
- For your convenience, we have a US-based returns facility
- Returned items must be in a new and unused condition together with all tags and original packaging intact. If your items have been used and cannot be restocked as new, please do not send them back to us. Doing so will lead to further expense and wastage, as they must be disposed.
- Refunds can only be made to the payment method used for the original order.
- Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Our logistics partner normally requires 2 - 3 business days to confirm receipt and inspect the items included in your return package.
- We aim to initiate your refund within 48 hours after receiving confirmation that your returned items are in a new and unused condition with all tags and original packaging intact. Please note that we don't have control over when your credit card or other payment provider will reflect the refund/credit on your account.
If you wish to initiate a return, please contact our customer service at cs@hipswan.com (referencing your order number) and we'll send you detailed instructions including the address to which you should send your items.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you prefer another color or style, you would have to return the original pair(s) and place a new order.

When no show really means no show! But also with no slip… no slide.. just great no show Sox. I have merino wool ones too and just waiting for my size (M) to be back in stock.
These socks are what I have been looking for. They are comfortable, soft against the skin, the toe and heel gussets are robust, and most important (thanks to the silicone strips) - the socks don't slip half way down my feet once I start walking!! I have wasted money on trainer socks that slip, or are weaved so thin that there are holes in the toes after a few wears. I am happy to highly recommend these socks as value for money, and also to support a business that considers the environment.
The cotton no show socks that I bought were very large. They didn't fit and I couldn't get them in my shoes. They don't have a free return policy so I had to pay to return them. I mailed them back yesterday so we shall see if I get any money back.

Our sock sizing is standard, but individual fit can vary depending on shoe type and personal preference. Since the Medium was loose, a size Small would likely be the perfect fit for you! For first-time customers who are unsure about their size, we always recommend ordering a single pair first to test the fit before committing to a 4-pair bundle.
As noted on our website, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. However, we are more than happy to issue a full refund for any unworn, unused pairs in their original condition as soon as your return arrives at our facility.

I love the fit and comfort
Great idea to hold up my socks but they don't always work. So the socks are "ok".
I thought these wouldn't be as nice as some of the brands with right and left, but they are better!
Thanks for your kind words. We actually did evaluate different left and right foot contours during our product development. After testing, we. concluded that it didn't make a difference to the comfort and fit for adults. On the other hand, our new toddler socks will be featuring different left and right foot contours as it's more important for growing feet.
Excellent very high quality no sweat socks! Will be recommending these to others and will be ordering more for my family! I also like that they do not slide down off my ankle because of the clear gripper in the back / inside. Game changer!

At last I have found a low line trainer sock that keeps in place and is very comfortable
My ankles are swollen in this weather so unfortunately these socks were too tight for me. They are of beautiful quality and definitely wouldn’t have slipped down like most others

Best trainer socks I've ever worn.
Love these. A little more expensive than I would usual spend on socks but they are just the ticket. They don’t show with trainers and most importantly they don’t move. I walked for miles, no blisters and my feet felt fresh once I’d finished.

These are the first no-show socks I have had that truly are no-show and that stay in place 100%. They are extremely soft and comfortable, not too thick or thin and they wash lovely over and over again without losing their shape. I have just purchased my 2nd batch to make sure I’ve got enough for summer and wouldn’t consider buying from anywhere else now. The customer service is amazing too.

When will my order ship?
Orders ship from our US warehouse in Winston-Salem, North Carolina within 24 hours of purchase (often same-day) excluding weekends and holidays. We offer 2 shipping services:
- Standard Shipping: 2–5 business days via USPS Ground Advantage™. Free shipping for orders over $50. ($10 for orders under $50)
- Express Shipping: USPS Priority delivery in 2–3 business days for $35 ($25 for orders over $50.

Will I pay US import duties on top of the prices shown here?
No — import duties are already included in the prices you see on our site, so there's nothing extra to pay on that front. Standard US sales tax still applies based on your state and will be calculated and shown at checkout, just like with any US retailer.
What if my socks don't fit? Can I return or exchange them?
Yes! We offer 60-day returns via our U.S.-based returns facility. Socks must be unworn and in original packaging.
We don’t offer direct exchanges. For a different color or size, please place a new order and return the original. Contact cs@hipswan.com to start a return.

Why are some styles out of stock? When will they be back?
We produce in limited batches to minimize waste and overproduction. Popular sizes and colors can sell out fast. If something’s unavailable, sign up for our restock alert on the product page and we’ll email you the moment it’s back! Restocks typically follow a rolling 3-month cycle, including design, production, and shipping.
How should I care for my hipSwan socks?
Treat your socks like delicates:
- Wash cold (machine or hand), inside out
- Line dry (especially styles with silicone grips)
