hipSwan socks generally come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Where we offer only a single "one size fits most" it is the equivalent of medium.
hipSwan socks are suitable for men and women.
Sizes are based on the sock's foot length in centimetres, and are provided as a range due to socks having inherent elasticity.
For your convenience, the following chart maps our socks' length ranges onto approximate shoe sizes using US shoe size scales:
What if the socks I order don’t fit me?
No problem, you have 60 days to return them. Just pay the return postage and we’ll refund you, no questions asked. The socks must be in new, unworn condition with the original wrappers included. Full details of our return policy are here.

We ship to US customers from our Winston-Salem, North Carolina distribution center.
Standard shipping
Our standard shipping service is USPS Ground Advantage™.
The expected delivery time, excluding the time needed for picking and packing your order, is 2 - 5 business days.
Delivery time depends on the destination within the US. Along the East Coast it is 2 business days, Midwest 3-4 business days and West Coast 5 business days.
We offer free standard shipping if your order value is $50 and above.
If your order value is below $50, we charge a shipping fee of $10.
Express shipping
We also offer an express shipping option with USPS Priority Mail which will take 2 - 3 business days to reach any continental US destination, excluding the order processing time.
The express option costs $35 (or $25 if your order value is above $50).
Returns
hipSwan places a high priority on delivering outstanding customer service, and this extends to those rare instances when customers need to return their socks (historically, less than 3% of customers have returned their socks, the vast majority due to sizing issues).
We are committed to your satisfaction and offer a liberal returns policy:
- We offer a 60-day return window
- For your convenience, we have a US-based returns facility
- Returned items must be in a new and unused condition together with all tags and original packaging intact. If your items have been used and cannot be restocked as new, please do not send them back to us. Doing so will lead to further expense and wastage, as they must be disposed.
- Refunds can only be made to the payment method used for the original order.
- Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Our logistics partner normally requires 2 - 3 business days to confirm receipt and inspect the items included in your return package.
- We aim to initiate your refund within 48 hours after receiving confirmation that your returned items are in a new and unused condition with all tags and original packaging intact. Please note that we don't have control over when your credit card or other payment provider will reflect the refund/credit on your account.
If you wish to initiate a return, please contact our customer service at cs@hipswan.com (referencing your order number) and we'll send you detailed instructions including the address to which you should send your items.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you prefer another color or style, you would have to return the original pair(s) and place a new order.

The quality is excellent but I did put a note on my order asking for a mix of colours. I don't see why this can't be done as they're all separate anyway. When my order came they were x5 pairs all the same colour. I would have liked 2 natural, 2 grey and one black.

It looks great :) To answer your question about mixing colours, we don't provide the flexibility on our website to select individual colours in a multi-pack because we feel it introduces too much complexity (you'd be selecting 1 of 4 colours for each of 5 pairs). If you would like to order a mix of colours from us in future, please email our customer service before placing your order and we'll set up a manual order for you with your desired colours and the 5-pack discount. You are correct about there not being any issue with mixing colours from the fulfillment point of view. Our socks are stored in our warehouse as individual pairs. However, we use an automated fulfillment system, so when you order 5x of natural undyed, that's what you'll receive. Your order goes straight from our website to our fulfillment centre. If one of our staff is online and sees your order note there is a small window (5 minutes) where we could intervene and cancel your original order before it's fulfilled. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case with your order.

I bought these socks as I have recently developed eczema on my feet and wanted to find secure trainer socks that don’t slip down in a high percentage of cotton. These are lovely socks and unlike most of the trainer socks I have tried, they stay up beautifully!! And are very soft and comfortable. However the band around the middle of the sock is a man-made fibre and on the inside if the sock there is a large area of this in contact with the skin, so this is not suitable for my eczema. I’d say they would be great socks if you don’t have eczema though.

Lovely quality socks - worth spending a bit more on. The undyed colour is really nice and neutral enough to go with anything. I immediately ordered some more of the no-show version. They have both stayed up (so far) and are super squashy and comfy. More colours and sizes please - specifically, please make the ‘dash’ in a small size and the ‘roam’ and ‘dash’ in the light grey colour.

Honestly I never really thought much about how comfortable my socks were until I got these socks. I bought them because I went to Disneyland and a tip I got was to buy performance socks to help keep your feet comfortable as it involves so much walking. I bought a 3 pack of these trainer socks and let me tell you, I have never had such strong feeling about a pair of socks before. They’re so comfortable and so soft, I now hate all my other socks and fully plan to slowly replace them with these. Highly recommend, especially if you notice and dislike seams!!!

I have been unable to test these out with my trainers as, since placing the order, I have injured my ankle and currently have to wear flip flops. However, I have tried them on and they seem very comfortable and fit well. The delivery was very promt and efficient. My only reason for dropping a star is the price...they are rather expensive.

No where in your description does it note that the socks are on the small size, no where does it mention that they are very thick, and nowhere does it mention they are very tight around the instep, medically incompetent for Diabetics, and people with troubled circulation!
