We’re "hipSwan" - a UK-based brand offering performance socks for conscious consumers. We launched on 1st October 2021 at hipswan.co.uk. The site you are on now, hipswan.com, is our brand-new US store, tailored to US customers.

hipSwan has been crafted from the outset for consumers who support ethical and sustainable brands. Our guiding principle is: "how would we design products and develop our brand if our customers were our family and friends?"

Here are some of the ways that we're different from traditional brands:

• We feature natural, organic materials such as organic combed cotton and merino wool which are certified and have traceable supply chains.
• We make our products in limited-edition batches in order to focus on essential materials, suppliers and technologies, and also to minimize our environmental footprint.
• We continuously improve our designs and re-consider our color options with every new batch, as we take into consideration our customers' feedback and actual demand patterns.
• We don't spend much time thinking about trendy new designs and expanding our colour options. We focus on a timeless, neutral color palette and, in fact, we've been reducing our color options over time. We aim to offer 3 colors and 3 sizes for each style, including a natural/undyed option where feasible and desired by our customers.
• Unfortunately, this also means that we are regularly out of stock on some designs, colours and sizes. We keep a waiting list of customers for restock alerts if you sign up to our newsletter list. When new batches arrive, they are first offered to our existing customers before being released to the general public.
