hipSwan socks generally come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Where we offer only a single "one size fits most" it is the equivalent of medium.
hipSwan socks are suitable for men and women.
Sizes are based on the sock's foot length in centimetres, and are provided as a range due to socks having inherent elasticity.
For your convenience, the following chart maps our socks' length ranges onto approximate shoe sizes using US shoe size scales:
What if the socks I order don’t fit me?
No problem, you have 60 days to return them. Just pay the return postage and we’ll refund you, no questions asked. The socks must be in new, unworn condition with the original wrappers included. Full details of our return policy are here.

Shipping
We ship to US customers from our Winston-Salem, North Carolina distribution center.
Standard shipping
Our standard shipping service is USPS Ground Advantage™.
The expected delivery time, excluding the time needed for picking and packing your order, is 2 - 5 business days.
Delivery time depends on the destination within the US. Along the East Coast it is 2 business days, Midwest 3-4 business days and West Coast 5 business days.
We offer free standard shipping if your order value is $50 and above.
If your order value is below $50, we charge a shipping fee of $10.
Express shipping
We also offer an express shipping option with USPS Priority Mail which will take 2 - 3 business days to reach any continental US destination, excluding the order processing time.
The express option costs $35 (or $25 if your order value is above $50).
Returns
hipSwan places a high priority on delivering outstanding customer service, and this extends to those rare instances when customers need to return their socks (historically, less than 3% of customers have returned their socks, the vast majority due to sizing issues).
We are committed to your satisfaction and offer a liberal returns policy:
- We offer a 60-day return window
- For your convenience, we have a US-based returns facility
- Returned items must be in a new and unused condition together with all tags and original packaging intact. If your items have been used and cannot be restocked as new, please do not send them back to us. Doing so will lead to further expense and wastage, as they must be disposed.
- Refunds can only be made to the payment method used for the original order.
- Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Our logistics partner normally requires 2 - 3 business days to confirm receipt and inspect the items included in your return package.
- We aim to initiate your refund within 48 hours after receiving confirmation that your returned items are in a new and unused condition with all tags and original packaging intact. Please note that we don't have control over when your credit card or other payment provider will reflect the refund/credit on your account.
If you wish to initiate a return, please contact our customer service at cs@hipswan.com (referencing your order number) and we'll send you detailed instructions including the address to which you should send your items.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you prefer another color or style, you would have to return the original pair(s) and place a new order.

So soft. Organic cotton feels so much different than non organic. Grippers on bottom keeps me from sliding on my wood floors. Love these socks. They feel great.

I have big feet - size 8 - and any Pilates socks that claim to fit up to size 8 actually don’t which is so frustrating. But the large size in these socks is perfect - and the socks are also very warm and soft. Blooming expensive but worth the money
So disappointed with these Pilates long socks. I have the trainer style which are amazing and that’s why I’m disappointed with these. They slip off my foot no gd heel grip and the leg is so tight I’m left with the Logo mark on my leg. Sadly an expensive disappointment.

I contacted the company looking for slipper socks as I was having difficulty finding some that had no polyester / nylon in, these were recommended to me and they are excellent quality. Lovely and warm, grippy and just what I was looking for. I’m glad I got 2 pairs, excellent customer service too, thank you!
I have used my socks for Reformer Pilates and can’t believe how comfortable they are. I only have small feet and find most small grip socks are still too big but these were AMAZING. I’ll definitely be buying more of them.
These socks are great and don’t slip which is a major problem for longer socks.
Grip to mat not my feet,, the size small not small enough, ok for standing but not for teaching Pilates. They need a lot more elastic and be much smaller. I’m size 4 narrow feet. They look good but not for the purpose, I had to remove for downward dog.

These socjs are very good quality abd feel really comfortable on the feet. The grip is excellent. All good so far! However, I have very narrow feet. I went down a size in these socks as recommended. However, sadly my feet moved around in the socks nonetheless, so i wasn't stable in, for example, down dig or warrior pose. So I do recommend, but not necessarily if your feet are very narrow like mine. You would need to give them a try. They really are very good quality!
The grip is great, socks are lovely and soft but the fit is not as good as I thought as it twists around so the grips are “offset”, and having to keep straightening the socks. Unfortunately, for me the socks are not as snug on the feet as I’d like.

Super soft cotton and nice support on the instep. The grips are great for barre and reformer. Fit true to size.
Lovely material , nice and warm for the winter too. Good grips. Slightly large on the sizing, I have wide size 7’s and the 6-8 is a bit on the large size which is unusual for me. Hoping they will tighten up a bit after washing. Otherwise would recommend
These are fantastic socks with a good grip, support around your instep and a nice length. Please do them in more colours? It would be good to buy them in a few different ones.
Love the socks but when i am on my toes in Reformer Pilates class, there isnt enough grip on the toes.

Great quality - slightly too thick for using effectively on the reformer as you need to feel the ground/equipment a bit more!
These socks were worth waiting for. My no shows left the ankles rather than chilly in the colder weather, these crew length socks are almost perfect for the colder weather. My only criticism is that the top band is rather tight on my legs, which are not large, and I would prefer a softer band.

Orders ship from our US warehouse in Winston-Salem, North Carolina within 24 hours of purchase (often same-day) excluding weekends and holidays. We offer 2 shipping services:
- Standard Shipping: 2–5 business days via USPS Ground Advantage™. Free shipping for orders over $50. ($10 for orders under $50)
- Express Shipping: USPS Priority delivery in 2–3 business days for $35 ($25 for orders over $50.

Will I pay US import duties on top of the prices shown here?
No — import duties are already included in the prices you see on our site, so there's nothing extra to pay on that front. Standard US sales tax still applies based on your state and will be calculated and shown at checkout, just like with any US retailer.
What if my socks don't fit? Can I return or exchange them?
Yes! We offer 60-day returns via our U.S.-based returns facility. Socks must be unworn and in original packaging.

We produce in limited batches to minimize waste and overproduction. Popular sizes and colors can sell out fast. If something’s unavailable, sign up for our restock alert on the product page and we’ll email you the moment it’s back! Restocks typically follow a rolling 3-month cycle, including design, production, and shipping.
How should I care for my hipSwan socks?
Treat your socks like delicates:
- Wash cold (machine or hand), inside out
- Line dry (especially styles with silicone grips)
