hipSwan socks generally come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Where we offer only a single "one size fits most" it is the equivalent of medium.
hipSwan socks are suitable for men and women.
Sizes are based on the sock's foot length in centimetres, and are provided as a range due to socks having inherent elasticity.
For your convenience, the following chart maps our socks' length ranges onto approximate shoe sizes using US shoe size scales:
What if the socks I order don’t fit me?
No problem, you have 60 days to return them. Just pay the return postage and we’ll refund you, no questions asked. The socks must be in new, unworn condition with the original wrappers included. Full details of our return policy are here.

Shipping
We ship to US customers from our Winston-Salem, North Carolina distribution center.
Standard shipping
Our standard shipping service is USPS Ground Advantage™.
The expected delivery time, excluding the time needed for picking and packing your order, is 2 - 5 business days.
Delivery time depends on the destination within the US. Along the East Coast it is 2 business days, Midwest 3-4 business days and West Coast 5 business days.
We offer free standard shipping if your order value is $50 and above.
If your order value is below $50, we charge a shipping fee of $10.
Express shipping
We also offer an express shipping option with USPS Priority Mail which will take 2 - 3 business days to reach any continental US destination, excluding the order processing time.
The express option costs $35 (or $25 if your order value is above $50).
Returns
hipSwan places a high priority on delivering outstanding customer service, and this extends to those rare instances when customers need to return their socks (historically, less than 3% of customers have returned their socks, the vast majority due to sizing issues).
We are committed to your satisfaction and offer a liberal returns policy:
- We offer a 60-day return window
- For your convenience, we have a US-based returns facility
- Returned items must be in a new and unused condition together with all tags and original packaging intact. If your items have been used and cannot be restocked as new, please do not send them back to us. Doing so will lead to further expense and wastage, as they must be disposed.
- Refunds can only be made to the payment method used for the original order.
- Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Our logistics partner normally requires 2 - 3 business days to confirm receipt and inspect the items included in your return package.
- We aim to initiate your refund within 48 hours after receiving confirmation that your returned items are in a new and unused condition with all tags and original packaging intact. Please note that we don't have control over when your credit card or other payment provider will reflect the refund/credit on your account.
If you wish to initiate a return, please contact our customer service at cs@hipswan.com (referencing your order number) and we'll send you detailed instructions including the address to which you should send your items.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you prefer another color or style, you would have to return the original pair(s) and place a new order.

I teach pilates and have been testing the Hip Swan flow socks during my classes. They feel so supportive and comfortable and have plenty of width for moving my toes. I’ve recommended them to my clients and here are a few in class last week.
These socks are very thick and soft but never make my feet hot n sweaty. I love that when I wear them to Pilates I can spread my ten toes for better stability and balance as there is room around the toes. The grippers are enough to hold your feet in position but not too sticky to impede walking in the socks. I also wear them walking and the cushion around the heel really makes my boots more comfortable. I would really recommend them.

I’m a big guy and am always sliding out of all the different socks. I bought a pair out of curiosity. This past weekend, i put them on before pilates and they were soft and quite comfortable. And for the first time, i did not slip out of my socks. The grips on the inside back of the heels kept me in my socks no matter how many planks I did on the reformer. I couldnt believe it! I went ahead and ordered a three pack that evening.. this is now going to be

I was looking for quality socks to wear during Pilates and I found these. They perform as expected during my workout. The company is fantastic. If you have a problem, they resolve it quickly. I think they run a little large, but I’m very happy with the purchase.

I initially loved these socks, particularly their thickness and warmth, but have found that they don’t last very well. Have had to throw away several pairs now because of holes in the heels. Very disappointing, particularly given the price.

Very good quality, but almost impossible to get my trainers on unless the entire show is unlaced.
Socks arrived quickly, so customer service is great. They're really comfortable to wear and wash well too. I don't like having my feet out in public, but the thickness of the socks makes me feel a lot less self-conscious. I couldn't be happier.
I found these a bit on the large side and they slip and move around, despite my feet being the largest in the size range. I’m afraid I won’t be buying any more
Great stick
but as I was at the lower end of the size I really should have sized down - the grip is good but when I use them my feet slides around and they are too big -otherwise a nice well made sock.
Bought these to replace my very old Pilates shoes but I don’t like them. That’s just my personal preference and I am sure I am in the minority.

Fit perfectly and don’t slide
Great quality and good grip. However, seemed rather large. I am a size 5 and ordered small. Quite wide and grip went just over the heel at the back. I think if you had smaller or more slender feet, you might find that they slip around on your feet. Certainly the small would fit a size 6 or even 7 easily

I am a size 6 shoe but found the medium 6-8 too big.
I inquired about an exchange for the small size and was kindly sent a replacement and told to keep the originals which found a good home with a fellow yogi!
The grippers on the sole run all the way to the toes and the material is excellent quality.
Overall very pleased and would recommend.

Orders ship from our US warehouse in Winston-Salem, North Carolina within 24 hours of purchase (often same-day) excluding weekends and holidays. We offer 2 shipping services:
- Standard Shipping: 2–5 business days via USPS Ground Advantage™. Free shipping for orders over $50. ($10 for orders under $50)
- Express Shipping: USPS Priority delivery in 2–3 business days for $35 ($25 for orders over $50.

Will I pay US import duties on top of the prices shown here?
No — import duties are already included in the prices you see on our site, so there's nothing extra to pay on that front. Standard US sales tax still applies based on your state and will be calculated and shown at checkout, just like with any US retailer.
What if my socks don't fit? Can I return or exchange them?
Yes! We offer 60-day returns via our U.S.-based returns facility. Socks must be unworn and in original packaging.

Why are some styles out of stock? When will they be back?
We produce in limited batches to minimize waste and overproduction. Popular sizes and colors can sell out fast. If something’s unavailable, sign up for our restock alert on the product page and we’ll email you the moment it’s back! Restocks typically follow a rolling 3-month cycle, including design, production, and shipping.
How should I care for my hipSwan socks?
Treat your socks like delicates:
- Wash cold (machine or hand), inside out
- Line dry (especially styles with silicone grips)
